Hey friends,

Let’s talk about summer routines for a second.

Because most people approach them one of two ways:

All in… or completely off.

“I’ll come all the time.”
→ Life gets busy → routine falls apart

or

“I’m just going to take a break.”
→ And then it turns into a much longer break than expected

But there’s a middle ground that works so much better.

You don’t need a perfect routine this summer.

You just need a realistic one.

Something that fits your life as it actually is—not as you wish it could be.

Because even a couple classes a week can help you:

  • maintain strength

  • reduce stress

  • keep your energy up

  • stay connected to yourself

Next week, we’re going to help you dial this in even more.

For now, just remember:

Consistency doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing.

With love,
The Vibe

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Justin K. — the upbeat, motivating presence who keeps the energy high, the laughs coming, and reminds us that community is just as powerful as the practice itself.

Read what he shares with us about consistency and positivity.:

You’re known as the one who keeps everyone motivated (and laughing!) in class—where does that energy come from, and what keeps you showing up consistently?

“My energy is a reflection of who I am. Every day I wake up and attack life full steam ahead — all gas, no brakes. And anyone willing to push themselves alongside me, I’m bringing with me on that ride to become better together.

At the same time, I want people to know that while we’re grinding and pushing ourselves on those mats, it’s still okay to smile, laugh, and enjoy the process. That’s who I am too — laughing in the face of pain and adversity.

My body has been through a lot over the years.

From martial arts, to football, to working as a garbage man and putting my body through physical wear and tear every single day in the streets. Doctors have told me that with my body type, scoliosis, and spinal trauma, my future could eventually lead to surgery.

I chose a different path. I chose movement. I chose discipline. I chose consistency.”

Your positivity is contagious. How has your mindset around fitness and community evolved since you first started practicing?

“When I first started, honestly I was mostly focused on fitness and physical results.

I had done a couple sessions when the studio first opened, but I didn’t really stay consistent until this January. Since then, my mindset has evolved a lot.

Now I see it as more than just exercise — it’s become part of my routine mentally too.

The community aspect surprised me the most. Being around positive people who show up consistently has helped motivate me and made it easier to stay committed.

I’ve also learned to appreciate progress beyond just appearance or weight, like mobility, recovery, energy, and feeling better overall.”

During the summer, a lot of people swing between being “all-in” or completely falling off their routine. How do you personally find that middle ground and stay consistent without burning out?

“You have to make this a lifestyle. A NON NEGOTIABLE lifestyle.

I have a wife, 2 kids, and a job that keeps me just as busy as a lot of others in our community. They have there activities too. I make sure I get my sessions in during the week and or weekends.

I prioritize my schedule to make sure I make it. Even if I have to bring my kids along so I can train.

Life throws curve balls at you. Your job is to hit them back. If you don’t swing, you strike out. Don’t make excuses. Show up even when you don’t want to. Tell yourself you want change. And never look back. It will happen.

How do you think humor and having fun impact not just your own practice, but the experience for everyone around you?

“I think humor and having fun make a huge difference because it takes away the pressure.

Fitness can feel intimidating or overly serious sometimes, especially when you’re newer to it. When people laugh, joke around, and enjoy being there, it creates a more welcoming environment. For me personally, it helps me stay consistent because I actually look forward to going. And I think positive energy spreads — when one person brings good vibes, it lifts the experience for everyone around them.”

A big thank you to Justin for sharing his insight, his perspective on consistency and balance, and the positive energy that makes our community brighter every time he walks through the door.

A huge congratulations to Jacob on teaching his very first class on Saturday, May 9th!

It was incredibly special to see so many people show up to support him as he begins his journey as a yoga instructor.

Jacob did an amazing job, and the energy in the room was truly uplifting.

We’re so excited for the beginning of this new chapter for him.
