COME FOR THE WORKOUT
STAY FOR THE WAY YOU FEEL
There are a lot of reasons to come to class.
To get stronger.
To sweat.
To improve flexibility.
To build endurance.
To stay consistent.
All good reasons.
But honestly?
One of the best reasons to come to class this summer is simple:
Because of how you feel after.
Calmer.
Clearer.
Stronger.
More energized.
More grounded.
More like yourself.
That’s what we’re really after.
Not perfection.
Not pressure.
Not chasing some impossible ideal.
Just the kind of movement that helps you feel better in your body and better in your life.
That’s why we believe so deeply in this work.
- Yoga helps regulate stress, calm the nervous system, and bring you back to center.
- Inferno Hot Pilates builds strength, boosts mood, and gives you that powerful “I’m so glad I came” feeling.
This summer, let your practice support you.
One class at a time.
One breath at a time.
One week at a time.
Stay Strong. Stay Steady.
See you in class,
Meet Monica S. — a longtime member of The Vibe whose consistency, positivity, and dedication continue to inspire everyone around her. Whether she’s taking double classes or simply bringing her warm energy into the room, Monica is a beautiful example of what it means to make wellness a lifelong practice.
You’ve become such a familiar and inspiring presence at The Vibe. What first brought you through the doors, and what has kept you coming back consistently over the years?
“Like many Vibe stories, mine started with an invitation—and turned into something much bigger.
I discovered hot yoga around 2010 during a season of life where I was constantly pushing my body.
As a former college athlete and Air Force veteran, movement has always been part of my identity. At the time, I was running marathons, playing basketball in a league with my daughter, and staying active—but I could feel my body asking for something different.
Something more grounding.
That “something” turned out to be hot yoga. I walked into my first class, and like so many in this community, I never truly walked out.
Over the years, The Vibe became more than a studio—it became my home. Even as I moved from Mountain House to Lathrop, it remained a constant. My consistency didn’t come overnight. In fact, there were seasons where I showed up less than I wanted to. But what kept calling me back was something deeper than routine.
It was the people. The energy. The feeling that no matter what you bring into the room, you are welcomed exactly as you are.
When I lost my husband in 2021, The Vibe became more than a practice—it became a place to breathe again. In a world that felt uncertain and heavy, the studio offered something steady: community, calm, and quiet strength.
It gave me space to heal without pressure, and to simply exist in the moment.
That’s what keeps me coming back. Not just the movement—but the meaning behind it.
And somewhere along the way, I realized something powerful: the classes may be simple—but the transformation is anything but.”
Our teachers describe you as someone with such positive and pleasant energy, and someone who regularly takes double classes with incredible dedication. What motivates you to keep showing up and challenging yourself?
“At The Vibe, we talk a lot about showing up for yourself—and for me, that’s exactly what this is.
My biggest motivator is longevity. I want to move through every stage of life feeling strong, capable, and independent. Retirement is on the horizon, and I don’t just want more time—I want quality time. A time where I can fully live, explore, and enjoy without limitation.
Every class is an investment in that future.
And yes—if I’m being honest—it’s also about aging powerfully. Not resisting it, but meeting it with strength, intention, and resilience.
The Vibe gives me the space to challenge myself, reset, and reconnect—again and again. That’s what keeps me walking through those doors, even on the days it would be easier not to.”
You practice such a wide variety of classes. Do you feel each format brings something different to your life or wellness routine, and do you have a favorite way to mix them together?
“One of the things I love most about The Vibe is that it’s never just one experience—it’s a full spectrum of care for your body and mind.
Each class offers something unique, and together they create a rhythm that feels both balanced and intentional. Bikram classes, for me, are where everything slows down. The repetition becomes meditative, almost like a moving mindfulness practice. It’s where I reconnect with my breath, my focus, and myself.
Then I layer in Strength and IHP, which challenge me in a completely different way—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
My favorite flow? Starting with Bikram to ground and prepare, then stepping into something more intense. It feels like building from the inside out—calm to power, stillness to strength.
That combination is where I feel my best.”
Many people begin their fitness journey for physical reasons but stay for the mental and emotional benefits. How has your practice impacted you beyond the physical?
The physical transformation is just the beginning. What keeps me here is everything you can’t see.
Working from home, it’s easy for the days to blur together—but stepping into The Vibe creates a clear shift. It sharpens my focus, lifts my energy, and resets my mindset in a way nothing else does.
It’s my anchor in the day.
It’s also, if I’m being honest, my not-so-secret addiction.
I joke that if work ever starts interfering with my classes, that might be my sign to retire. But there’s truth behind the humor—because this practice has become essential to how I show up in every part of my life.
At The Vibe, you don’t just build strength—you build clarity, resilience, and connection.
And for me, that’s what makes it more than a studio.
It’s a way of life.”
We’re so grateful to have Monica as part of The Vibe family. Her consistency, kindness, and uplifting presence have become such an instrumental part of our community, and it means so much to know that this space has supported her just as deeply in return.
